this is the record i always seem to come back to when i'm alone. not in a melancholy way, you understand (even though the album is indisputably sad; the songs are written from painkiller and loss inflicted dreams/nightmares), but purely in a solitary way. especially tonight; outside is thunder and a stark awareness, and the reverberating piano seems all the more haunting.
